The Resurrection of Christ
Marginal remnants of a larger adhesive label and two labels glued one above the other, the upper one numbered 492 verso. Oil auf panel. 25.7 x 13,2 cm. Strips of approx. 8 mm attached to the left and right edges. Restored. Damaged. Minor damage to frame (35 x 22.5 cm).

Das vorliegende kleine Gemälde lässt den Einfluss des Maerten de Vos erkennen. Aufgrund der Bearbeitung der Rückseite der Holzplatte mit einem erhabenen, allseits profilierten hochrechteckigen Feld könnte man auf eine Verwendung in einem größeren Kontext, z. B. als Einsatz in ein aufwendig gestaltetes Möbel ausgehen.
