A FORMAL RANK VEST (XIAPEI) FOR A LADY - China, 19th c. - Navy blue silk satin, embroidered with colored silk in satin stitch, gold thread in appliqué technique. Small coral beads for the sun. Border in gold fabric and black silk. Closure with five bronze spherical buttons. Macramé fringe with colored tassels. Lining: Sky blue silk. The silk of the vest is embroidered with dragons and various birds, with Fenghuang among others in clouds. Below waves and rocks. The chest and back each have a rank insignia applied in gold and silver embroidery with coral beads. The wild goose represents the fourth civilian rank on a background with swastika lattice. Dunkelblauer Seidensatin, bestickt mit farbiger Seide in Plattstich, Goldfaden in Anlegetechnik. Kleine Korallperlen für die Sonne. Einfassung in Goldstoff und schwarze Seide. Verschluss mit fünf Kugelknöpfen aus Bronze. Makrameefranse mit farbigen Quasten. Futter: Hellblau Seide. Die Seide der Weste ist bestickt mit Drachen und verschiedenen Vögeln, mit fenghuang u.a. in Wolken. Unten Wellen und Felsen. Auf Brust und Rücken ist jeweils ein Rangabzeichen in Stickerei mit Gold- und Silberfaden appliziert. Die Wildgans steht für den vierten zivilen Rang auf einem Untergrund mit Swastika-Gitter. Sie ist umgeben von fünf Fledermäusen.

Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
