Ca. 40 × 30mm, Gold/Emaille, Oberhälfte mit Sprungdeckelmechanik (ähnlich wie bei den Scarabäus Formuhren), Unterseite mit Sichtfenster für das Werk, Zähne und Augen mit Diamanten besetzt, Unterkiefer beweglich, wenn die Oberhälfte beidseitig aufgeklappt ist, hat man Blick auf das signiertes Spindelwerk, Signatur J.C Züntl in Linz , Emaillezifferblatt, goldene Breguet-Zeiger. Das Werk ist restaurierungsbedürftig. Die beiden aufklappbaren Segmente sind farblich restauriert, der Rest der Emaille/des Totenkopfes ist komplett original erhalten. Johann Christian Züntl in Linz war verzeichnet ab 1744 und verstarb 1822. Die Totenkopf-Formuhr ist eine der seltensten Formuhren überhaupt. Nach unserem Kenntnisstand sind nur sehr wenige Totenkopf-Formuhren in Gold/Emaille bekannt, eine absolute Rarität!. Ein Paar identischer Uhren wurde in den USA für 42.500US$ bei Ashland angeboten (https://www.cortrie.de/go/b2M).
