Das schön beschriftete Album mit insgesamt ca. 210 Fotos in unterschiedlichen Formaten. Dienstzeit des Matrosen auf Seiner Majestät Schiff Straßburg von 1912-15 mit Reiseverzeichnis bzw. Beschreibung der Häfen, Fotos und Ansichtskarten, dabei auch Portraits, seltene Aufnahmen von dt. Wasserflugzeugen, Luftschiffhalle für Zeppeline in Riga an der Ostsee, Urkunde Äquator-Taufe, Gruppenaufnahmen, Schönheiten aus Übersee, U-Boote in Flandern/Belgien. Album Halbleder, vorne bezeichnet mit Dienstzeiten 1912-15, Maße 24 x 33 x 5 cm.
Der Matrose Josef Roder war Funker (FT-Gast) auf dem Schiff. Der Kleine Kreuzer SMS Straßburg war ein Kriegsschiff der Kaiserlichen deutschen Marine. Am 8. Dezember 1913 wurde die Straßburg Konteradmiral Hubert von Rebeur-Paschwitz zugeteilt. Gemeinsam mit den Linienschiffen "Kaiser" und "König Albert" unternahm sie ab dem 9. Dezember eine Reise in den Südatlantik, die über Togoland (29. - 31. Dezember), Kamerun (2. - 15. Januar 1914), Deutsch-Südwestafrika (21. - 28. Januar), über St. Helena nach Brasilien, Argentinien, Uruguay, um das Kap Hoorn bis nach Valparaíso (3. bis 11. April) in Chile und erneut nach Brasilien führte. Zahlreiche Einsätze im 1. Weltkrieg, danach an Italien übergeben. Die frühere Straßburg (nun ital. Taranto) wurde am 23. September 1944 bei einem Luftangriff in La Spezia endgültig versenkt.

The beautifully captioned album with a total of approx. 110 photographs in various formats. Period of service of a sailor on His Majesty’s Vessel Strassburg between 1912 and 1915 with travel record, description of ports, photographs and picture postcards, among them portraits, rare photographs of German hydroplanes, airship hangar for Zeppelins in Riga at the Baltic Sea, document of crossing-the-line ceremony, group pictures, overseas beauties, submarines in Flanders/Belgium. Album half leather, the front inscribed with period of military service 1912-15, dimensions 24 x 33 x 5 cm.Sailor Josef Roder was a radio operator (FT-Gast) on the vessel. The light cruiser SMS Strassburg was a war ship of the Imperial German Navy. On 8 December 1913, SMS Strassburg was assigned to Counter Admiral Hubert von Rebeur-Paschwitz. Together with the battleships "Kaiser" and "König Albert", she started out on a journey to the South Atlantic on 9 December, travelling via Togoland (29 – 31 December), Cameroon (2 – 15 January 1914), German South-West Africa (21 – 28 January) and St. Helena to Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, sailing past Cape Horn to Valparaíso (3 to 11 April) in Chile and again to Brazil. After numerous deployments during World War I, she was handed over to Italy. The former SMS Strassburg (now called by its Italian name Taranto) was finally sunk on 23 September 1944 during an air raid on La Spezia.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
