Each decorated in various coloured enamels and gilt on a crackled cream ground, and comprising:

The first in the form of a temple lantern, decorated with crashing waves, geometric patterns, hanabishi shippo, flowers growing against a garden fence, swallows amidst pine, a key fret (rinzu) patterned band, the roof with stylised chrysanthemums, the tear-shaped filial atop a lotus flower, signed Ryuzan

The second a circular box and cover, with a group of ladies playing karuta before a sliding door (fusuma) decorated with irises and wisteria, further doors opening to reveal a garden, the exterior decorated with a continuous scroll of flowers, the interior of the cover with a riverside landscape of an oarsman passing a dwelling along a rocky bank, the interior decorated with a cascading waterfall emerging from a mountain village, surrounded by pine and an autumn maple tree, bordered with a scroll of stylised ferns, signed Juzan

The third a small foliate-rimmed bowl with seated figures engaged in various pastimes, a profusion of masks to the interior, the foot with variously-patterned fabrics, signed Juzan

The fourth a miniature incense burner (koro), the sides alternately decorated with lakeside landscapes, maple branches, the shoulders with stylised chrysanthemums and karakusua, signed Kinkozan
