Provenance
(Presumably) one of the four portraits painted for les grands officiers civils de la Couronne in 1811, for which the artist was paid 24,000 francs.
(Possibly) acquired by Lady Rosamond Christie (1882-1935) for Tapeley Park, North Devon, and by descent.
