FRANCE magnificent amphora vase, late 19th century/early 20th century, large, baluster-shaped body with metal handles on the side, screwed to a round foot on a square metal base, polychrome paintings on the front of mythological scenes with Venus and Cupids, surrounded by idyllic flora and fauna, the signature of the painter named "Mat. Picard" (?), violet background and ornamental decorations on the vase neck and round foot, no manufacturer's mark recognizable, part. signs of corrosion (slightly wobbly stand due to the aged screw), signs of age, H 85 cm.
