Snuffbox: sterling silver 925/-, hallmarked, gilt. Martin Mayer mark, Mainz (founded 1888). Light blue translucent enamel on a guilloched background. Miniature: watercolour and opaque colours on ivory. 7.8 x 6.3 cm. Mounted behind glass, glued to the back with white leather (stamped "Max Sinz, Dresden"). Narrow gilt brass frame set into the lid of the box.
