Wolfsjagd mit Reitern und Hundemeute
Im Mittelgrund eine weite Szene mit einer Hirschjagd. Lebendig geschildertes, von Snijders und de Vos beeinflusstes Jagdstück des Barock. Beide Künstler wählten nicht nur ähnliche Motive, sondern waren auch stilistisch und persönlich eng miteinander verflochten: Snijders heiratete 1611 die Schwester von de Vos, der wiederum selbst in der Werkstatt seines Schwagers ausgebildet wurde und dort und arbeitete. 1620 trat de Vos als Meister der Lukasgilde bei und malte mit Vorliebe Tier- und Jagdszenen für aristokratische Auftraggeber, die stark von Frans Snyders geprägt sind. Zudem prägten die beiden Künstler auch nachfolgende Malergenerationen wie Jan Fyt und Abraham Hondius. Öl/Lwd., doubl.; 86 cm x 140 cm. Rahmen.
