Franz Hack trat am 1. Oktober 1934 als Freiwilliger in die
SS-Verfügungstruppe ein und besuchte die SS-Junkerschule Bad Tölz. 1938 wurde er als Obersturmführer zum Chef der 4./SS-Standarte "Germania" ernannt. Ende 1940 kam er als Hauptsturmführer zur SS-Division "Wiking", mit der er ab Juni 1941 in Russland kämpfte. Im November 1941 wurde er Kommandeur des III./SS-Infanterie-Regiments "Germania". Am 14. Mai 1944 erhielt er das Ritterkreuz, ab Sommer 1944 führte er die SS-Panzer-Aufklärungs-Abteilung 5 und ab September 1944 das SS-Panzergrenadier-Regiment 10 "Westland". Zuletzt war er Führer einer Panzereinheit der Division "Wiking" und erhielt am 1. Mai 1945 noch die Nahkampfspange in Gold. Am 8. Mai 1945 geriet er in Österreich in amerikanische Gefangenschaft.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
