Impressionist, around 1900, created sheet. Skarbina was in addition to Lesser Ury in the Berlin of the century the most important painter of urban street scenes, in particular fascinating evening and night-time lighting, and began turning those fleeting moments and the atmosphere. Since the beginning of the 1880s to the 1890s, he had been a long time in Paris, where he received a decisive impetus by the French Impressionists. In 1892, Skarbina was one of the founders of the artist-"group of Eleven", in 1899, the Berliner secession.
