Das Bildnis zeigt seine geliebte Tochter Marion (1892 - 1947) als junges Mädchen. Lenbach, der ein überaus stolzer und begeisterter Vater war, schuf eine größere Reihe von Gemälden seiner Tochter Marion, die er mit ihrem blonden Haar oft engelsgleich schilderte, sowohl einzeln als auch mit ihm zusammen. Als sich Franz und Magdalena Lenbach 1896 einvernehmlich scheiden ließen, blieb Marion bei ihrem Vater, so dass seine Tochter weiterhin ein Lieblingsmotiv des Malers war. Stiltypisch konzentriert sich Lenbach auf den Kopf, legt ihn mit skizzierenden Strichen und einzelnen pastosen Höhungen an, während alles andere nur flüchtig behandelt wird, um die Intensität des Ausdrucks zu steigern. Der an der Münchener Akademie ausgebildete Maler wurde ab 1868 zu einem gefragten Porträtisten des Adels, Großbürgertums und bedeutender Persönlichkeiten aus Politik, Gesellschaft, Wissenschaft und Kultur. Wegen seiner herausragenden gesellschaftlichen Stellung und seines Lebensstils avancierte er in München zu einem Malerfürsten par exellence. Öl/Karton. Verso sign. oder bez.; 42,5 cm x 32,5 cm. The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
