Elfenbein, geschnitzt. Hochrechteckig. Der Schöpfer des Andachtsbildes nutzte technisch und künstlerisch virtuos das Material der Elfenbeintafel für eine meisterhaft detailreiche, vielfigurige, szenische Schilderung der Kreuzabnahme Christi, wie sie u. a. im Matthäusevangelium beschrieben wird (Matth. 27, 55-60). "Und es waren viele Frauen da (...); unter ihnen waren Maria von Magdala und Maria, die Mutter des Jakobus und Josef, und die Mutter der Söhne des Zebedäus. Am Abend kam ein reicher Mann aus Arimathäa, der hieß Josef und war auch ein Jünger Jesu. Der ging zu Pilatus und bat um den Leib Jesu. Da befahl Pilatus man solle ihn ihm übergeben und Josef nahm den Leib wickelte ihn in ein reines Leinentuch und legte ihn in einen Felsen." Fünf Männer sind auf zwei Leitern gestiegen, um den toten Christus vom hochaufragenden Kreuz abzunehmen und Leichnam behutsam herabzulassen. Am Fuß des Kreuzes wird der Korpus von mehreren Männern in Empfang genommen, während sich am vorderen Bildrand drei Frauen um die ohnmächtige Mutter Maria bemühen. 22,5 cm x 15,5 cm. Rahmen.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
