Leicht geschwungene Rückenklinge (Oberfläche narbig) mit verbreiterter zweischneidiger Spitze und beidseitiger, dreifacher schmaler Kehlung. Der Ansatz des Klingenrückens gekehlt. Weit ausladende, achtkantige eiserne Parierstange mit langem Mitteleisen. Mit schwarzem Leder bezogene Hilze über Schnurwicklung, die Belederung stellenweise durchgerieben. Beidseitig eine gekehlte eiserne Griffniete. Eiserne Knaufkappe mit rautenförmiger Vernietplatte. Lederbezogene Holzscheide mit eiserner Garnitur, seitlich zwei bewegliche Trageringe. Länge 89 cm.

An early Austrian/Hungarian hussar's sabre, mid-17th century
Slightly curved, single-edged blade, the surface pitted, with a broad, double-edged point and three shallow fullers on both sides. The root fullered at the back of the blade. The extended, octagonal iron quillons with a long crosspiece. The grip covered in black leather over cord winding covered, the leather worn through here and there. A fluted iron grip rivet on both sides. Iron pommel cap with a lozenge-shaped top plate. The leather-covered wooden scabbard with iron furniture, two movable suspension rings at the side. Length 89 cm.
