GALENO di Pergamo (129-201 d.C.) - Opera. Venice: Giunta, 1586. A fascinating copy in contemporary vellum with manuscript titles on spines of this work rare to be found complete in 13 volumes. Sixth giuntina edition with some contemporary annotations. 13 tomes in 7 volumes, folio (358 x 245mm). The work comprises: Volume 1: General title printed in red and black followed by preliminary leaves; Spurii Galeno ascripti libri; Isagogici libri; Operum Fragmenta; [Galeni extra ordinem] Volume 2: Prima classis; Volume 3: Secunda, Tertia classis; Volume 4: Quarta classis; Volume 5: Quinta; Sexta classis; Volume 6: Septima classis; Volume 7: Index. (Lacking title of Extra Ordinem in vol. I and some of the blank leaves, titles of vols. I and VI damage by watestaining and with some restorations and integrations, lighter wear to other titles, internally some repairs and wormholes, some wear to top and bottom corners, browning and staining, some other general waterstaining). Contemporary limp vellum, manuscript title on spines (modern guards, manuscript title faded on spine of vol. I). Provenance: some contemporary annotations. First of all, you should register to be able to purchase at auction. The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
