Édition originale avec envoi. Probablement le plus important des écrits d'avant-guerre de de Gaulle, ce livre-manifeste prône une réforme de modernisation et de mécanisation de l'armée française, pour des forces plus réactives et une action plus mobile : "le moment est venu d'ajouter à notre masse de réserves et de recrues, élément principal de la résistance nationale mais plus lente à réunir, lourde à mettre en oeuvre et dont le gigantesque effort ne saurait correspondre qu'au dernier degré du péril, un instrument de manoeuvre capable d'agir sans délai, c'est-à-dire permanent dans sa force, cohérent et rompu aux armes. Point de couverture française sans armée de métier".
Cet exemplaire présente un envoi à Pierre-Étienne Flandin (1889-1958), dirigeant de l'Alliance démocratique au début des années 30 et alors président du Conseil. En réaction au réarmement de l'Allemagne, il participe en 1934-1935 à la conférence de Stresa, mais approuvera les "accords de Munich" de 1938. En 1940, il votera l'article unique du projet de loi constitutionnelle confiant les pleins pouvoirs au maréchal Pétain, et prendra part au gouvernement de Vichy.

Provenance : sur le faux-titre, envoi autographe signé "à M. le Président Flandin, très respectueux hommage et modeste contribution à sa politique de la qualité! Janvier 1935. Lt colonel de Gaulle". The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
