Black lacquered leather skull with angular front visor and silver fittings. Fine, light-coloured leather sweatband with orange ribbed silk, bearing the hand-written initials "L G". Frosted, silver-plated emblem with enamelled coat of arms appliqué (slightly chipped). Cruciform base with three star-shaped screws, a bead and reel frieze and removable, fluted spike. Convex scaled chinstraps on rosettes, officer's cockades. Size approximately 57. The helmet with visible signs of age. Both straps of the storage case ripped.
Ludwig Hermann Freiherr von Gebsattel (1857 - 1930) served as Fähnrich in the 1st Uhlan Regiment in 1875, Major and General Staff Officer of the East Asiatic Expedition Corps in Peking in 1900, General of the Cavalry in 1914, received the Military Order of Max Joseph on 25 September 1914 for capturing the Fort du Camp-des-Romains. Discharged in 1919.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments.
