Street scene with three young Dutch girls
With fast, wide Duktus in-tone colour painted factory Breitners, is one of the most important figures of the Amsterdam impressionism. Breitner, the self-dubbed "people's painter", studied 1876-80 at the Academy in The Hague. In 1882, he met Vincent van Gogh, with whom he signed the worker, and a maid in The Hague. After a stay in Paris, 1884-86, he returned to Amsterdam, where he was the truthful depiction of city scenes, in particular, with quick strokes captured everyday life in the less well-to-do neighborhoods. In 1896 he received at the International art exhibition in Berlin, a large gold medal. Oil/Wood Panel. R. u. signed; 40 cm x 30 cm. Frame.
