Read lady with a cigarette in a cafe
In the 1920s, resulting, broadly painted works of the expressionists, which characterized not only the figure itself, but also a realistic picture of the modern, urban woman in the Weimar Republic. Tappert, who was in 1910, co-founder of the avant-garde of the "New Secession", created already before the First world war, a number of images with female subjects - dancers, portraits, as well as a great act series. Also 1918-1933 devoted himself to Tappert in particular, typical of the times, women of the Berlin demimonde milieu of Cafés, music halls, night bars and Circuses.
