1926. Aquatinta. 58 x 41,5 cm. L. u. in der Platte sign. G. Rouault, unter Passepartout und Glas gerahmt, ungeöffnet. Aus einer Auflage von 425 Abzügen - Literatur: WVZ: Chapon-Rouault 343 - Französischer Maler und Graphiker der Neuen École de Paris. Nach einer Ausbildung zum Glasmaler studierte R. ab 1890 an der Akademie Paris zunächst bei E. Delaunay, 1892 wurde er Meisterschüler von G. Moreau. Bis 1907 gehörte er der Gruppe der Fauves an. Nach zahlreichen Einzelausstellungen wurde R. 1930 mit einer Retrospektive im MoMA in New York geehrt, außerdem wurden seine Werke auf der Documenta I und II ausgestellt. Mus.: Paris (Centre G. Pompidou), St. Petersburg (Eremitage), London (Tate), Wien (Albertina), Frankfurt (Städel) u.a. Lit.: Thieme-Becker, Vollmer, Bénézit u.a.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
