Raub der Proserpina
Weißer Carrara-Marmor. Vollplastisch gearbeitete, italienische Replik (20. Jh.) nach der berühmten Marmorgruppe Berninis, die der Bildhauer 1621-1622 schuf und die sich seit 1908 in der Galleria Borghese in Rom befindet. Dargestellt ist eine Erzählung aus der römischen Mythologie, bei der Proserpina durch Pluto in die Unterwelt entführt wird: Auf einer rechteckigen Plinthe steht der vollbärtige, bekrönte Pluto als höchst muskulöse Aktfigur, der mit festem Griff die zarte Proserpina hochhebt, die sich mit Händen und Füßen verzweifelt wehrt; am Boden ein Zweizack als Attribut des Pluto, hinter ihnen sitzend der dreiköpfige Zerberus. Mit seiner dynamischen Komposition, die den Betrachter von einem einzigen Blickpunkt aus die Szene vergegenwärtigen lässt, prägte Bernini für 150 Jahre die Weise vergleichbarer Raubdarstellungen. Hoher, quadratischer, allseitig gerahmter Podestsockel, ober- und unterhalb durch Profilbänder gegliedert und mit vorkragender Fuß- und Deckplatte. H. ca. 132,5 cm; Sockel-H. 90,5 cm; Ges.-H. ca. 223 cm.

After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
