First Latin edition of this detailed illustrated biography by Paolo Giovio on the Visconti, who reigned over Milan from 1277 to 1447. The author's preface is dedicated to Henri d'Orleans, Dauphin of France.

Title with printer's device, 10 woodcut portraits of the dukes of Milan and other members of the Visconti family, each signed with a cross of Lorraine, the symbol of Geoffroy Tory (1480-1533), woodcut initials (some slight dampstaining and staining, final leaf reinforced at the bottom edge). Modern vellum with manuscript title and ties (light spotting); preserved in a modern marbled paper box.
