An edition translated by Lodovico Domenichi of this illustrated historical biography by Paolo Giovio on the Visconti, which also contains “gl’Argomenti a ciascuna d’esse vite, con le annotazioni nel margine, & Tavola copiosissima".

Engraved frontispiece with the Visconti coat of arms and engraved portrait of Mons.Honorato Visconti, dedicatee of the work, engraved by Bianchi on the verso of the title, 13 full-page engraved portraits of which the final one repeated twice, initials, woodcut headpieces and tailpieces (occasional light browning). Modern vellum, manuscript title on spine and ties; preserved in a modern decorated paper case.
