An edition translated by Lodovico Domenichi of this illustrated historical biography by Paolo Giovio on the Visconti, which also contains “gl’Argomenti a ciascuna d’esse vite, con le annotazioni nel margine, & Tavola copiosissima".

4to (254 x 194mm). Engraved frontispiece with the Visconti coat of arms and engraved portrait of Mons.Honorato Visconti, dedicatee of the work, engraved by Bianchi on the verso of the title, 13 full-page engraved portraits of which the final one repeated twice, initials, woodcut headpieces and tailpieces (occasional light browning). Modern vellum, manuscript title on spine and ties; preserved in a modern decorated paper case.
