Breite, gerade Rückenklinge mit beidseitiger Hohlbahn und zweischneidiger Mittelspitze, am Ansatz beidseitig in einer Rokoko-Kartusche die geätzte Inschrift "COULLIER RUE St HONORÉ N° 574 À PARIS". Ziseliertes und vergoldetes Messingguss-Gefäß mit symmetrischer Parierstange und Griff in Form eines vollplastischen Hahnenhalses, der Knauf als Hahnenkopf gearbeitet. In Messingblechscheide (kleine Dellen, Risse und alte Lötspuren) mit Holzkern, beidseitig mit grünen Samteinlagen (berieben), geprägter Palmettendekor, oben beidseitig eine durchbrochen gearbeitete phrygische Mütze, zwei bewegliche Trageringe. Partiell leicht beschädigt, Altersspuren. Klingenlänge 67,5 cm, Gesamtlänge (ohne Scheide) 84,5 cm, Gesamtlänge (mit Scheide) 88,5 cm. Schön erhalten und sehr selten.
Die konstitutionelle Garde des Königs bestand aus 1800 Gardisten, sowohl Infanteristen als auch Reitern. Diese Soldaten, die ihren Dienst am 1.1.1792 antraten, legten Mitte März einen Eid auf die Nation, das Gesetz und den König ab. Die konstitutionelle Garde schlug Aufstände nieder und schützte den König. Ein Teil der Gardisten verkehrte im Jakobinerklub.
