Lucania, Southern Italy, 4. Century BCH. 27 cmCrater vase is made of clay with two handles and a simple stand, kragendem edge of the crater creeper with a circumferential, frieze-like Sheet. Red-figure painting on two sides, scene run: two figures in antikischem garb, Nike and a warrior with a staff, two naked young men, upright post shown in a Central Stele, on which a robe is. Typical work for rare craters in the time of 4. Century BC, as documented for the so-called Dolon painter, and the Greek model of coming for a mixed wine drink.Provenance: From the dissolution of an old collection of Esslinger entrepreneur. - Acquired 01.06.1977 at Koller auctions, Zürich. - Cf.
