Goldtauschierter Pesh-Kabz mit Scheide, Nordindien um 1800. Stark gekrümmte und seitlich gegratete Klinge aus schön sichtbarem Wootz-Damast mit zweischneidiger Spitze und geschnittenem, verstärktem T-förmigen Rücken und abgesetzten Schneiden. Der Rücken über die gesamte Länge mit vergoldetem Blütendekor, zur Spitze hin blütenförmig abgesetzt geschnitten. Auf beiden Seiten der Klingenwurzel feines, vergoldetes Floraldekor. Der Griff mit Griffschalen aus Walross-Elfenbein, die abgeschrägte Klingen- und Griffeinfassung in Eisen mit allseitig detailliert vergoldetem Blüten- und Rankendekor. Kleiner Spitzfortsatz mit beweglicher Öse aus verziertem Silber. Länge 38cm. Sehr gut ergänzte Scheide, beledert mit Reliefdekor und vergoldetem Ortblech in Eisen. Z 2+ (SW41). Qualitätvoller Pesh-Kabz in schönem Zustand. A fine North Indian Pesh Kabz Dagger with Wootz Damascus blade, chiselled and gold-inlaid (koftgari gold work), the grip slabs are walrus ivory.
