Geschwungene Klinge mit geschnittenem und mit Goldtausia verziertem, t-förmigem Rücken aus Wootzdamast. Verstärkter Ort und zweischneidige, leicht gegratete Spitze. Griffzwinge und -schiene ebenfalls mit feiner Goldtausia. Vernietete Griffschalen aus Elfenbein. Mit fein punziertem Chagrinleder bezogene Holzscheide mit goldenem Ortknopf. Länge 41 cm.

A Persian gold-inlaid pesh kabz, 1st half of the 19th century
The curved blade with a chiselled, t-shaped spine made of wootz-Damascus, embellished with gold inlays. Reinforced chape and double-edged, slightly ridged point. The grip ferrule and grip strap also with fine gold inlays. The riveted grip plates made of ivory. The wooden scabbard covered in finely stippled shagreen leather with a gold chape stud. Length 41 cm.
