Typisch geschwungene Rückenklinge mit beidseitiger schmaler Kehlung. Beidseitig reich in Gold tauschierter floraler Dekor, beidseitig Schriftkartuschen, datiert "1242" (= 1826). Eiserne Griffzwinge und Griffbänder mit goldtauschiertem Dekor. Griffschalen aus kristallinem Walrosselfenbein. Hölzerne Scheide mit drahtvernähtem Bezug aus schwarzem Chagrinleder. Fein reliefierte, silberne Garnitur. Länge 78 cm.

A gold-damascened Ottoman yatagan, dated 1826
Characteristically curved single-edged blade with slender fuller on both sides. Richly decorated with gold-damascened flowers, calligraphic cartouches on both sides, dated "1242" (= 1826). Gold-damascened iron ferrule and grip straps. Grip panels of crystalline walrus ivory. Wooden scabbard with wire sewn cover of black shagreen leather. Silver mounts finely cast in relief. Length 78 cm.
