Dreiviertelplastisch aus Lindenholz(?) geschnitzte und farbig gefasste Skulptur der gekrönten Madonna. Die heilige Jungfrau, sitzend dargestellt, hält auf dem Schoß das sich drehende Christuskind. In der rechten Hand hält sie vor der Brust einen roten Apfel, der für die Ursünde steht und die Notwendigkeit der Erlösung symbolisiert. Aus dem ideal proportionierten Gesicht entspringt ein eindrucksvoller, etwas betrübter Blick. Originale Fassung, gefestigt und stellenweise restauriert. Spannungsrisse an beiden Knien der Maria bzw. den Beinen Christi. Ein Händchen restauriert, Finger fehlen. Bestoßung jeweils an der Krone und einer Gewandfalte. Höhe 68 cm.
Polychrome lindenwood(?) figure of the Madonna with crown, carved in three-quarter relief. The Virgin Mary, seated, holding on her lap the Christ Child. Holding in her right hand at chest height a red apple representing the original sin and mankind's need for redemption. Her ideally proportioned face has an impressive, slightly saddened expression. Original colour, stabilised, and partially restored. Tension cracks on both knees of Mary and Christ's legs. One of the boy's hands restored, fingers missing. The crown and one fold bumped. Height 68 cm.
