Einteilig geschnitzte Figur aus Lindenholz mit alt angesetzten Vorderfüßen. Darstellung des im Grab liegenden Christus nit lang ausgestrecktem Körper und sichtbaren Wundmalen. Die Hände im Schoß gefaltet, das Haupt mit geschlossenen Augen und friedlichem Gesichtsausdruck. Holz mit mehreren, teils größeren Spannungrissen, die Zehen bestoßen, teils unvollständig. Eine schmale Fehlstelle im rechten Nackenbereich. Die alte Farbfassung berieben, stellenweise Fehlstellen. Länge 123 cm.
Ausdrucksvolle gotische Skulptur, die deutliche stilistische Merkmale der Salzburger Bildschnitzer aufweist. Vgl. z.B. eine Pietà um 1420 im Salzburg Museum (Inv.-Nr. 1073-2012).

The figure carved in one piece in lime wood, the front feet attached separately in old times. Depiction of Christ lying in the tomb, his body outstretched, with visible stigmata. His hands folded in his lap, his eyes closed, a peaceful expression on his face. Wood with several tension cracks, some considerable, the toes knocked, some incomplete. A narrow defect on the right-hand side of the neck. The old coloured paint rubbed off, with imperfections here and there. Length 123 cm.
Expressive Gothic sculpture, clearly indicating the style features of the Salzburg woodcarvers. See, for example, a Pietà dating from circa 1420 in Salzburg Museum (Inv. no. 1073-2012).
