Lot 3181 | Grabenpanzer für italienische Sturmtruppen im 1. Weltkrieg
Schwere, gebogene, feldgrau lackierte Stahlplatte von 8 mm Stärke, außen in schwarz aufgemalten Versalien alt beschriftet "Souvenir de la Grande Guerre", innen seitlich zwei angenietete textile Schlaufen. Oben zwei schwere gebogene Stahlplatten für die Schultern, durch zwei bewegliche Verbindungsbleche mit dem Bruststück (Breite 38 cm, Höhe 30 cm) verbunden, an die Schulterteile angenietete textile Befestigungsbänder (unvollständig). Gut erhaltene Originallackierung, Textilien vereinzelt mit Rissen, Rostspuren. Leicht beschädigt, Altersspuren.
Dieser selten erhaltene Körperpanzer wurde zusammen mit dem Farina-Schutzhelm getragen.
A trench armour for Italian storm troops in World War I
Heavy, domed steel plate of 8 mm thickness lacquered in field-grey, on the outside old inscription "Souvenir de la Grande Guerre" in black paint, on the inside two textile loops riveted to the sides. On top two heavy domed steel plates for the shoulders, connected to the breast plate (width 38 cm, height 30 cm) by two movable connecting plates, textile attachment straps (incomplete) riveted to the shoulder plates. Well-preserved original lacquering. Textile parts with isolated tears, traces of rust. Slightly damaged, traces of age.
This rarely preserved body armour was worn together with the Farina protective helmet.
