Auf rechteckiger Plinthe stehende Frauengestalt in antikisierender Gewandung. Das lange, wellige Haar ist von einem Stern bekrönt. Flankierend ein Mädchen, sich die Sandale überziehend als Allegorie des "Erwachens" bzw. ein weiteres mit goldener Amphore, eine Blume gießend und den "Morgentau" repräsentierend. Polychrome Malerei mit reicher Goldstaffage. Entw. Johannes Schilling, um 1868 - 1870. Entw.-Bez.; Modell-Nr. I 187. Unw. rest.; Schwertermarke. Meissen. Um 1935 - 1945. H. 44 cm.
Nach den in Sandstein ausgeführten allegorischen Gruppen der Serie "Vier Tageszeiten" am nördlichen Treppenaufgang zur Brühlschen Terrasse in Dresden, die links und rechts der Freitreppe aufgestellt waren, beginnend mit dem "Morgen" und dem "Mittag" oberhalb sowie dem "Abend" und die "Nacht" unterhalb. 1908 wurden sie durch Bronzegüsse ersetzt, die Originale fanden 1936 im Park am Schloßteich Chemnitz einen neuen Aufstellungsort. Schillings Entwürfe wurden auf der Wiener Kunstausstellung 1869 ausgezeichnet. Johannes Schilling studierte 1842 - 1850 an der Dresdner Akademie unter Ernst Rietschel. Nach einem einjährigen Aufenthalt an der Akademie in Berlin, wurde er Mitarbeiter von Ernst Julius Hähnel in Dresden. Seit 1857 unterhielt er sein eigenes Atelier in Dresden, 1868 wurde er zum Professor an die Dresdner Kunstakademie berufen. Die Meissener Manufaktur formte die Serie "Vier Tageszeiten" 1870 in Porzellan aus, 1879 folgte die Ausführung weiterer Modelle Schillings.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
