Große Amphorenvase mit "Italienischem Majolika-Dekor" aus. der KPM-Berlin
sog. "Amphora mit Rosettenhenkel". Hochgezogener Rundfuß mit Nodus auf quadratischer Plinthe. Ovoider Korpus mit gerundeter Schulter, eingezogenem Hals und ausladendem Rand. Seitlich hochgezogene Rosettenhenkel über reliefplastischem Akanthusblatt. Beidseitig der Wandung flächendeckende Darstellungen italienischer, architekturbestandener Ideallandschaften mit bergiger Kulisse, bewölktem Himmel, Flussläufen und imposanten römisch-antiken Tempelruinen sowie Figurenstaffage. In der Art der italienischen Majolika von Castelli. Fuß und unterer Wandungsteil mit ocker- und türkisfarben akzentuiertem Dekor auf königsblauen Fondflächen. Umlaufende Bordüren aus Pfeifenstab und verschiedenem Blattwerk. Plinthenecken mit Maskaronköpfen. Äußerst feine, polychrome Manufakturmalerei (wohl später). Form-Entw. Karl Friedrich Schinkel, um 1820 - 1830. Zepter- und Malereimarke. H. 69 cm.
