Altweiß glasiert. Auf einem unregelmäßig profilierten Natursockel die vollplastische Darstellung des Triton, die flüchtende Nereide fassend. Entw. Paul Scheurich,1940. Zeptermarke. Unw. rest.; H. 54,5 cm.
Durch die Kontakte des KPM-Direktors Peiffer erhielt Paul Scheurich 1940 den Auftrag von Joachim von Ribbentrop den vielfigurigen Tafelaufsatz "Geburt der Schönheit" mit der Venus im Zentrum zu gestalten. Dieser sollte die Tafel des damaligen Reichsaußenministers in dessen Berliner Palais zieren. Krankheitsbedingt konnte Scheurich den Auftrag nicht beenden, auch wenn bereits erste Figuren in die Wilhelmstr. 73 gebracht wurden.
