Mehrteilig gearbeitete Rossstirn mit gebördelten Rändern und fein geflutetem Dekor. Auf der Stirn ein vernieteter vakanter Wappenschild, die Augenöffnungen mit gewölbten und gelochten Blechen bedeckt. Vernieteter Ohrenschutz. An Lederstreifen anhängender beweglicher Nackenschutz. Beriemung aus sämisch gegerbtem Leder. Ungewöhnlich großes Exemplar. Länge ohne Nackenschirm 63 cm.

A large Gothic historicism chamfron in the style of circa 1480
The chamfron forged in several pieces, with turned edges and finely fluted adornment. A blank escutcheon riveted to the forehead, the eye holes covered with domed, perforated metal sheets. Riveted ear protection. The articulated neck guard attached with leather strips. The straps made of chamois-dressed leather. The chamfron of unusually large dimensions. Length without the neck guard 63 cm.
