A LARGE SILVER-GILT AND CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL ICON OF CHRIST PANTOCRATOR Russian, late 19th century (icon), Russian, Moscow, Pavel Ovchinnikov, 1896 (oklad) Tempera on wood panel with velvet backing. Christ finely painted, raising his right hand in benediction and holding champlevé enamel Gospels in his left hand, in seed-pearl vestments, the cut-out halo enamelled with stylised floral and foliate patterns within green and blue pellet borders. The oklad similarly cloisonné enamelled in shades of blue, green and translucent red. Marked on lower edge with assayer's mark and master's mark 'P. OVCHINNIKOV' in Cyrillic. Minor losses. 27 x 22.3 cm.

Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
