Keramik, hellbraune, craquelierte Glasur. Modern stilisierte plastische Arbeit des bedeutenden italienischen Keramikkünstlers. Herstellungsbedingt an den Füßen ger. best.; Signatur "CLIZIA". H. 57 cm.
Giani (Künstlername "Clizia", hatte 1956 seine erste Ausstellung in Turin und bildete sich 1957 beim berühmten deutschen Keramiker Richard Bampi weiter. 1958-63 war er in Bussana Vecchia tätig, wo er die dortige Künstlerkolonie gründete. Giani stellte vielfach auch international aus und wurde 1965-98 mehrfach ausgezeichnet. In Chivasso bei Turin ist ihm ein eigenes Museum gewidmet.
