Die große Marschtrommel ist gelb gefasst, mit weiß-blauen Dreiecken bemalt und zeigt Alters- und Gebrauchsspuren. Die Spannreifen sowie die Spannzangen sind vollständig vorhanden. Beiliegend sind zwei dicke Pergamente als Rohmaterial für die Bespannung.
Auf der Innenseite der Zarge findet sich eine schwer lesbare Bleistiftsignatur:

LARGE MARCHING DRUM, SIGNED FROM ZWETTL, AUSTRIA AROUND 1847
The large marching drum is painted in yellow with white and blue triangles, and shows signs of age and use. The hoops and the collets are complete. Enclosed are two thick parchment sheets as raw material for drumheads.
There is a pencil signature on the inside of the shell:
