Große mythologische Meissen Figur "Juno mit Pfau" Auf gehöhtem, von reliefplastischen Rocaillen umzogenem Felssockel sitzende, antikisierende Göttin Juno als Halbakt mit kunstvoll frisiertem, mit Perlen und einer Schleife verziertem Haar, bekleidet mit einem rosafarbenen, von einem edelsteinbesetzten Gürtel gehaltenem Tuch, das sie mit der linken Hand festhält. Mit der Rechten streichelt sie den seitlich stehenden Pfau. Polychrome Malerei mit dezenter Goldkonturierung. Modell-Nr. 1235. Rest.; Schwertermarke. H. 39 cm.
Die römische Göttin Juno wird mit der griechischen Göttin Hera gleichgesetzt. Ihr beigeordnetes Attribut ist der Pfau. Zumeist wird sie auch mit Zepter und Krone wiedergegeben. Sie repräsentiert die "Luft" unter den vier Elementen.
