Große Tierplastik "Paduaner Hahn" von Meissen
Hoher, naturalistischer Sockel. Zwischen plastisch gearbeiteten Ährenbündeln stehender, krähender Haubenhahn mit langgestrecktem Hals, aufgerissenen Augen und weit geöffnetem Schnabel mit sichtbarer Zunge. Äußerst naturgetreues, reliefplastisch gestaltetes Gefieder mit langen, gebogten Schwanzfedern. Polychrome Malerei. Entw. Ernst August Leuteritz (1854) nach einem Modell von Johann Joachim Kaendler (1732). Modell-Nr. B 144. Unw. rest.; Schwertermarke. Meissen 2. Hälfte 19 Jh.; H. 78 cm. 42 cm x 35 cm.
Für die Königliche Sammlung im Japanischen Palais in Dresden gab August der Starke in den anfänglichen 1730er Jahren eine Reihe von verschiedenen Tierplastiken in Auftrag. In der Nachfolge des Modelleurs Johann Gottlieb Kirchner schuf J. J. Kaendler in der Frühzeit seiner Tätigkeit in der Meissener Manufaktur einige zum Teil lebensgroße Tierplastiken in ausgesprochen naturalistischer Darstellung mit minutiöser Wiedergabe des Äußeren und charakteristischen Wesenszügen. Das umfangreiche bildhauerische Oeuvre von E. A. Leuteritz umfasst unter anderem Tierplastiken nach Modellen von Johann Joachim Kaendler aus den 1850er Jahren, wobei er den originalen Kompositionen weitgehend treu blieb. Neben dem "Paduaner Hahn" (um 1854) schuf er die "Ziege mit Jungen" (Modell B 149) und den "Truthahn" (Modell B 145).

Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
