Thailand. Frühe Ayutthaya-Periode. Spätes 14. - frühes 15. Jahrhundert

Gelblicher Sandstein mit Resten von Vergoldung, rotem und schwarzem Lack. Die Augen mit originalen Permutteinlagen. Die lange und gerade geformte Nase setzt sich in zwei eleganten Brauenbögen über den
ausdrucksstarken Augen mit halb geschlossenen Lidern fort. Diese Form wiederholt sich im
Haaransatz. Die ushnisha mit zwei Stufen ist ebenso wie die Frisur mit feinen
Reliefpunkten als Darstellung der Haare besetzt. Die ketumala-Flamme fehlend. Die zu einem
leichten Lächeln geschürzten Lippen betont eine feine, umlaufende Gravurlinie. Die Ohren
sind stark in die Länge gezogen und verweisen auf die königliche Abkunft des Buddha. Höhe 47cm, Breite 31,5cm, Tiefe 27cm. Auf einem Metallsockel montiert. Zustand A/B.
