Salzglasiertes braunes Steinzeug, polychrome Emaillebemalung, partiell vergoldet. Standring aus Zinn. Korpus umlaufend mit den zwölf Aposteln und Christus im Relief, darüber Schriftband mit den Tituli auf weißem Grund. Unterer Teil der Wandung mit Widmung und Datierung "MATHIAS LEDERER CATHERINA LEDERIN 1669". Gewölbter Scharnierdeckel aus Zinn mit Palmettendrücker. Bandhenkel mit emailliertem Dekor. Kleine Restaurierung im hinteren Bereich. Maße 18,5 x 19 x 16,5 cm. Vergleichsobjekte von Apostelkrügen befinden sich im Krügemuseum in Creußen und im Germanischen Nationalmuseum in Nürnberg.

Salt-glazed stoneware with slightly mottled surface, polychrome enamel decor and gilt accents. Pewter ring stand. The twelve apostles and Christ in relief, arranged around the body, the tituli inscribed on a white banderole. Lower body with dedication and dated "MATHIAS LEDERER CATHERINA LEDERIN 1669". Domed, hinged pewter lid with palmette thumb rest. Strap handle with enamel decor. A small restoration at the back. Dimensions 18.5 x 19 x 16.5 cm. Similar apostle tankards can be found in the museum collections of the Krügemuseum in Creußen and the Germanisches Nationalmuseum in Nuremberg.
