Elfenbein, geschnitzt. Auf vier plastischen Fratzen-Füßen zwischen einem reliefierten Muschelfries. Die Wandung umlaufend mit einer mehrfigurigen Reliefszenerie, diese teilweise ins Vollplastische übergehend. Dargestellt ist ein Bacchanal mit Putti, Satyren, Frauen und einem Engel. Gewölbter Deckel mit zwei Putto-Köpfen und einer Groteske gerahmt von Rankenwerk. Figürliche Bekrönung in Form einer Dame mit Xylophon. C-Henkel in Form einer plastischen, nur mit einem Zweig bedeckten Dame, die Trauben in ihren Händen hält. Figur auf dem Deckel restauriert, kleine Fehlstellen, ansonsten guter Zustand. Maße 41,5 x 25 x 16,5 cm. CITES-Gutachten vorhanden.

Carved ivory. On four fully sculptured feet with grotesque masks between a raised frieze of shells. The panels of the body bearing continuous scenes with several figures in relief, some of which are fully sculptured. A Bacchanal tableau with putti, satyrs, women and an angel. The domed lid with two putto heads and a grotesque mask framed with tendrils. Figurative finial shaped like a woman playing an xylophone. The C handle in the form of a woman covered only by a branch, holding grapes in her hands. The figure on the lid restored. Minor imperfections, otherwise in good condition. Dimensions 41.5 x 25 x 16.5 cm. With CITES documents.
