Fein geknüpfter Wandteppich aus farbiger Wolle. Vor weiter architektonischer Kulisse findet prominent im Vordergrund eine energiegeladene Kampfszene statt, wohl die Pagenverschwörung. Alexander stürmt in prächtiger Rüstung auf den Aufstandsanführer zu, den zurückschreckenden Hermolaos. Auf der rechten Seite von Kallisthenes angeführte Gelehrtengruppe, links entsprechend die Militärgefolgschaft Alexanders. Umlaufende Bordüre mit Festons aus Früchten und Blättern. Stellenweise berieben bzw. verschlissen. Maße ca. 260 x 340 cm.

The finely knotted tapestry in coloured wool. Against an expansive architectural backdrop, an energetic battle scene prominently taking place in the foreground, probably the Conspiracy of the Pages. Alexander in magnificent armour charging towards the leader of the rebellion, the recoiling Hermolaus. On the right-hand side, a group of scholars led by Callisthenes, balanced by Alexander's military entourage on the left. A continuous border with festoons of fruit and leaves around the edge. Scuffed and worn in places. Dimensions approx. 260 x 340 cm.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
