Großer Goldring, dessen Reif sich nach unten verjüngt. Der Reif geht ansatzlos in eine breite Platte über, in die eine helle, ovale Gemme eingesetzt ist. Darauf fein eingraviert ein Götterpaar im Zwiegespäch. Maximale Länge des Rings 2,8 cm. Innendurchmesser 1,7 - 2,2 cm. Gewicht 8,3 g.

Provenienz: Alte süddeutsche Privatsammlung.

A large Roman golden ring with gemstone, 1st - 2nd century
A large gold ring, the oval hoop tapers towards the bottom. The ring merges seamlessly into a wide bezel in which a light oval gem is set. Finely engraved with a pair of gods in a dialogue. Maximum length of the ring 2.8 cm. Inner diameter 1.7 - 2.2 cm. Weight 8.3 g.
