Rechteckiger Korpus aus Eichenholz mit schöner Alterspatina. Vernietete Verstärkungsbänder aus Eisenblech, schauseitig reicher Besatz mit getriebenen und durchbrochen gearbeiteten Zierblechen. Scharniergelagerter Deckel mit zentralem Einwurfschlitz und beweglichem Griff. Zangenschloss mit späterem Hohldornschlüssel (funktionsfähig). An der Rückseite zwei Lochungen für die Wandbefestigung. Maße 98 x 23 x 25 cm.
A large German wooden offertory box, circa 1700
Rectangular oak body with fine age patina. Riveted sheet iron bands, the obverse decorated with chased and pierced sheet iron ornaments. Hinged lid with central slot and movable handle. Pincer lock with later hollow shank key (functioning). On the reverse two holes for wall mounting. Dimensions 98 x 23 x 25 cm.
