copper bronze, partially gilt and partly fine engraved, with a cold gold and polychrome paint. Impressive large figure of the thousand-armed and elfköpigen appearance of the
the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara. The nine Bodhisattva heads are complemented by a
Mahakala head, and the head of the Buddha Amitabha. His nine heads are crowned by a
multi-part and richly decorated crowns, the faces are finely painted. He is wearing
bodhisattva jewelry, and on his shoulder a antelope fur. The multi-part Socket
is separately cast and the open worked. Height figure 58cm, total height of 72.3 cm, width approx 29cm. Condition A/B. fastening under the left foot aborted, figure leans back.
