Zweischneidige, leicht gekrümmte Klinge mit beidseitigem Mittelgrat, am Ansatz beidseitig leicht goldtauschiert. Glatter Griff aus Silber, stellenweise dunkle Patina. Massive, glatte Silberscheide mit Holzeinlage, stellenweise dunkle Patina. Rückseitig im Mundbereich eine Punze mit der tuğra des Sultans Mahmud II. (1808 - 1839), darunter Reste von Verlötung. Länge 55 cm.

A large silver-mounted Ottoman Khanjar, early 19th century
Double-edged, slightly curved blade with central ridge on both sides, slightly gold-damascened at the base. Smooth silver handle, dark patina in some places. Massive smooth silver scabbard with wooden inlay, dark patina in places. On the reverse side in the mouth area a stamp with the tuğra of Sultan Mahmud II (1808 - 1839), in the same area some remains of soldering. Length 55 cm.
