Silber, gedrückt, gegossen, getrieben, ziseliert, vergoldet, graviert. Am Fuß der Feingehaltsstempel "12 LÖTH:", die Marke des ersten Zeichenmeisters "K" mit Bär für Johann Christian Samuel Kessner, die Marke des zweiten Zeichenmeisters "A" für Balthasar Gottfried Ferdinand Anreack, dazu die Meistermarke "HOSSAUER BERLIN" für Johann George Hossauer (1794 - 1874). Mehrpassiger, gewölbter Stand, balusterförmiger Schaft, reich verzierte Kuppa, mehrpassiger Deckel mit Hirschkopf als Knauf. An Sockel und Deckel in jeweils vier Segmenten fein getriebene Eichenlaub- und Lorbeerzweige. Drei Segmente der Kuppa wiederholen diesen Dekor und zeigen zusätzlich Jagdtrophäen, das vierte Segment präsentiert in einer Wappenkartusche die eingestochene, feine Inschrift "Dem Königl. Oberförster Herrn Sembach zu Neuenkrug bei 50jähriger Dienstführung von seinen Fachgenossen 1855". Nur leichte Gebrauchs- und Altersspuren. Gesamthöhe 38 cm, Gewicht 714 g.
Hossauer selbst beschreibt diesen Pokal in seinem Bestellbuch: "… mit Hirschkopf u. Geweih als Deckelknopf, an den Seiten Jagdbilder, vorn die Widmung Dem Königl. Oberförster [etc. wie oben] – Ablieferung den 29. November, Besteller Förster Crelinger in Stettin, den 28. Novbr. abgesandt".
Dazu eine akribisch recherchierte, bebilderte Mappe mit über 50 Seiten, darin Angaben zur Försterfamilie Sembach aus den Beständen des Geheimen Staatsarchivs Berlin-Dahlem und zu Hossauer.
Prachtvoller Silberpokal mit ausführlich recherchiertem, sauber dokumentiertem Hintergrund.

A large silver goblet by J. G. Hossauer for senior forester Sembach in Pomerania, dated 1855
Silver, pressed, cast, chased, chiselled, gilt, engraved. The foot with mark of fineness "12 LÖTH:", the mark of the first inspecting master "K" with bear for Johann Christian Samuel Kessner, the mark of the second inspecting master "A" for Balthasar Gottfried Ferdinand Anreack, also master’s mark "HOSSAUER BERLIN" for Johann George Hossauer (1794 - 1874). Multifoil, domed pedestal, baluster-shaped shaft, richly decorated bowl, multifoil lid with deer head pommel. The pedestal and lid each with four segments containing finely chased oak leaf and laurel branches. Three segments of the bowl with repeated décor and, additionally, hunting trophies, the fourth segment with coat of arms cartouche presenting the chiselled, fine inscription (tr.) "To the royal senior forester Mr Sembach of Neuenkrug for 50 years of service from his colleagues 1855". Only slight traces of use and age. Overall height 38 cm, weight 714 g.
Hossauer himself described this goblet in his order book (tr.) "… with deer head and antlers as knob on the lid, on the side hunting images, at the front the dedication To the royal senior forester [etc. as above] – delivered on 29 November, ordered by forester Crelinger of Stettin, dispatched on 28 Nov.".
Comes with a meticulously researched, illustrated folder comprising over 50 pages and containing information on the family of forester Sembach from the inventory of the Secret State Archive Berlin-Dahlem, and on Hossauer.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
