Massiver und reich dekorierter Weihrauchbrenner aus Bronze. Dreibeiniges Gefäß mit abgeflachtem, bauchigem Korpus und abgesetztem Hals. Die vollflächig floral reliefierte Wandung umlaufend mit sechs feinen Reliefszenen mit Vögeln geschmückt. Zwei kräftige Handhaben in Form von Wächterlöwenköpfen modelliert. Mittig im Spiegel eine große Lotusblüte. Höhe 30 cm, Durchmesser 45 cm.
A large Chinese incense burner, 19th century
The solid incense burner in bronze with lavish decoration. Three-legged receptacle with a flattened, bellied body and pronounced neck. The body completely covered in raised floral ornaments with a series of six delicate relief tableaux of birds. Two sturdy handles shaped like the heads of guardian lions. A large lotus blossom in the centre. Height 30 cm, diameter 45 cm.
